What are Estimates? - Feature Overview
An estimate in the system is identified as an estimate, by its purpose. When submitting a request for estimate, by selecting a purpose that is marked in its settings as "Is Estimate", that setting in the Purpose profile causes any work orders with that purpose to be ignored from the various expense/cost reports.
